Default Import Duty

So, if I were to order a Kramer guitar from Music Yo at a cost of $279 plus $90 shipping, how much import duty would I have to pay?

Ta.

3.07% or 3.08%. I can never remember which. On the cost of the guitar plus shipping.

Also 17.5% VAT, and a clearance charge, typically £6-15.

Thanks Sporky.

I have no idea why I posted this in classifieds.

I wouldn't worry too much about that.

What you really want is a Kramer from the 80s...made in the USA, yes a little bit "care-worn", but still plays perfectly, complete with DiMarzio pickups and a case and a real floyd rose.....

<ah well..worth a shot>

If you live for hard rock, get a guitar made to rock hard. Kramer guitars are designed and built specifically for hard rock guitar players. They feature body design and construction, pickups, electronics and hardware for rock music. Some other guitars try to work for ALL kinds of music (country AND rock). That's impossible! Kramer does one thing and it does it well.

I must concurr. The Kramers that I have *ROCK*, but they wouldn't be much good at country or whatever. Saying that, the Pacer that I'm trying to offload will do a passable blues etc, but the Nightswan is just pure 80s metal.

I just think that's one of the greatest pieces of marketing spiel ever. It's so hard to tell if it's tongue-in-cheek or not - "ALL kinds of music (country AND rock)" is just genius.
