....not the FX pedal kind but one of those wooden things that you..er...stomp on.
Anyone know where to get one reasonably cheaply and in the UK??? The eBay ones all seem pretty expensive or come from down under which is a shame as I need one yesterday (as a present for the old man). I thought Goji might have bought one recently.....??

Can you not just put a microphone in a box?

Why would you want to do that when you can pay £45 for a wooden box specially tuned with a piezo transducer with a figured top? That'd be like ... doing something to get the end result and ... and not caring about the stained quilted finish or tonewoods involved... how utterly alien!
![]() I hear those stomp-boxes can also be used to boost the mid-range of your hi-fi if you put them part way between the left and right speakers. ... with a steel ice-cream bowl on top of course.

Certainly not!
Only the finest birds-eye maple, from sustainably managed plantations, coupled with a large-diaphragm valve-powered condenser, would be good enough!

BLA that's not just a stompbox, though is it? That's Marks and Spencers finest Boite De Stompeur.

Actually, I was thinking of making a stomp-board, by just sticking a piezo transducer on a plank...
...then I realised how foolish that would be, when I could just stamp on a guitar. ![]() Getting expensive, though...
