Smile New dance tune!

Not normally my kind of thing (I'm mostly a guitarist) but I broke out the keyboard and a few sample cds and had a little play!
Comments welcome.

EDIT - took this offline a nights sleep made me realise it was a pile of crap lol

You deleted the cubase file the next morning?
You're the most cliche study case I've ever come across. Novice electronic music artists take note:

If you stay up all night making a tune you think sounds excellent, make sure you don't post it online the same night, it's not as good as it sounds.
sleep on it, listen to it the next morning, and if you hate it (95% of the time you will) for god sake don't erase it, it's not as bad as it sounds.

play it again later when you've gotton over both the initial "joy" and "post natal depression" and appraise it fairly, think about things you could improve on or lessons you can learn about your music style. take the time to play around with it the track. This is a good way to gain experience "messing around" with your chosen sequencer and synth arsenal.

I will say greeney, the next time you do anything with electronic music, follow roughly this advice, but if you come across anything you like the sound of, export a little 2 -3 minute track out of it and post it, I'm keen to hear what your stuff sounds like now.

Never delete project files. Back them up and listen to it after a few months. Most of the time you get inspired by what you did.

Euh, I do. So I never erase old crappy projects. I reuse them mostly. Sometimes a riff, sometimes drum grooves or remix the complete project to a complete new track. I recyle :P

as a rule I do like to keep stuff but sometime I go through and prune the crap, this time I guess I pruned the crap before I knew if it was!
