Default Nintendo Wii

Oh dear, I'm feeling the need to buy a Nintendo Wii. I might have been able to hold out until the urge passes, but I'm feeling a bit under the weather with a cold, and may not have the willpower currently

If the urge doesn't pass me by, is it sensible to buy 2 Wii remotes (well, 1 extra) and 2 nunchucks? I'd probably get Mario Kart and 2 steering wheels too. And what size memory card is sensible (I assume you have to buy that extra!).

Obviously, I haven't given this much thought

I, of course, should be learning songs for the band, and trying to get sensible tones out of my amp for said songs, but a visit to Hamley's on Thursday has lodged the need for a Wii (hehe!) into my brain.

Get a Wii, then get Wii Play which includes an extra remote and a couple of minigames, two or three of which are pretty good. Then the extra nunchuck, yes.

The memory cards are just SD cards - you don't need the "specially for Wii" ones. Actually, you don't really need one at all unless you start running out of internal storage, but there's no harm sticking a 2Gb one in.

I bought a wii last monday, and since then I've also bought an extra controller and nunchuck, they are necessary, plus a couple of games. Controller from here http://www.simplygames.com/ at £22.00 free delivery - well cheap.

I need a new sensor bar, one that sends a stronger signal, as I find I have to lean forward for it to point accurately.

The sensor bar is just a pair of infra-red LEDs - you could make your own for very little.

Oooh - if you want Wii Fit then I think Dixons have it in stock but you have to buy it with a Wii.
