Ask your local church if you can record them for a bit

Default New Order Choir

I found a SoundFont file containing many samples. They sound like recordings from the single.

The following site has many sounds. New Order is the 10th one. Although it is a Creative SoundFont many samplers can read them.

Hope this helps. I'm having problems finding an authentic Blue Monday Bass synth...

Hmm, I would have thought Afrika Bambaata sampled Kraftwerk's Trans-Europe Express quite a bit earlier on Planet Rock...

He didn't sample it though, he just copied the riff.

Errm, the sound came of an old (Yes I know new at the time) EMU Emulator, can't remeber witch one but I played one and there was that sound in there. Also the Drums from that tune come from an Oberheim DMX drum machine

New Order was a good 20-30 years too late to get credit for stealing samples.

Sampling records and sueing people over it has been going on a very very very long time.

"...In 1956, Dickie Goodman and Bill Buchanan pioneered a new kind of record called the “break-in” with their massive hit single “The Flying Saucer.” It utilized snippets of other performers’ work, including Chuck Berry, Don Cherry, Etta James, Smiley Lewis, Nappy Brown, Little Richard, and Fats Domino, and resultantly Goodman was taken to court on multiple counts of copyright infringement. In the end, Goodman’s song was declared a work of parody, and the matter was settled out of court. ..."

Being a huge New Order fan, I'm curious to know exactly what sample you're talking about.

In any case, on one of their DVD releases (The New Order Story), you get to see them play their various instruments for some of the songs. Including the annoying frogs... That might give you a clue as to which keyboard was used (if you can't read the label...).
