Default suggestions for covers set list

Me again

Me and our half-a-band need to think of a few more songs to add to our repertoire, and what better way to get ideas than to ask you lovely lot (enough sycophancy to garner suggestions?).

The current 'set list' is:

Foo Fighters - Time Like These
Green Day - Basket Case
Green Day Good Riddance
Crowded House - Distant Sun
Deep Blue Something - Breakfast At Tiffany's
Death Cab For Cutie - I Will Follow You Into the Dark
Travis - Why Does It Always Rain On Me
Oasis - Wonderwall
Oasis - Half A World Away

With 'Sweet Home Alabama' hopefully being added in time (a lot of time possibly!).

I currently have on my suggestion list:
Stereophonics - Have a Nice Day
And maybe an REM song - suggestions?

Any other suggestions gratefully received, especially as the other guitarist keeps thinking of obscure, acoustic songs!

Clare, if you have someone who can sing, I have an unplugged CD that has kd lang covering 'Crying' [Roy Orbison]. This cover version is IMHO equal to the Johnny Cash cover of U2s 'One'. Top drawer stuff in other words, sounds simple [probably is not], excellect phrasing etc.

I can send you an 'evaluation' copy of the disk if you want. Send me a PM with your deails.

Thanks, Rocker, but I'm not sure our singist is currently up to that sort of level yet.

PS. Your PMs are full

It is indeed a cracking song, but it doesn't sound like it's going to be in our singist's range.

There are some high bits in that song I'll suggest it, but I couldn't convince him he could do Juliette & the Licks 'Purgatory Blues', and I didn't reckon that was that high!

He'll just have to be in pain for a song or too, after all I'm agony (both physical and mental) by the time I've finished 'Wonderwall' lol
