Default Pedalboard Velcro

As I'm trying to do the pedalboard properly, and as warned by some of you about the quality of the Velcro supplied with the Stagg 'board (which has already fallen apart!), can you recommend good, strong velcro?

And also how much velcro you use, how many strips, horizontal or vertical etc?

I'm hoping this will be vaguely interesting to others too, but as I type it, it sounds dull and slightly nerdy!

Cheers

I asked the same question of a mate recently and he suggested that you can get heavy-duty velcro in B&Q. When I went they had a roll of the stuff for approx £21 which you can cut to size, the info on the box suggests a 100mm strip will hold a sledgehammer to the garage wall so I guess that's heavy duty enuff for a pedalboard.

Have fun.

Firstly, you are rapidly becoming high maintenance young lady

I got mine from the local sewing shop on the market and fixed it on in strips. I took my pedal in and the nice old lady found me some wide stuff.

Cost me about 3 quid....

It was a roll of several metres. You could make pedalboards for the whole band. The alternative was a £3 pack with 4 strips in it.

Damn, no! I don't think I'll let the neighbour's 10 year old near it!

I've put it together once, but the velcro fell apart, and I'm going to be adding a new pedal, already! It's looking good though, so far

I used these:

http://www.mpdhookandloop.com/shop/C...=product&id=58

3 will do for a Boss pedal, I used 6 for a big pedal like a Line6 modeller.

This supplier is dirt cheap too!! I paid about £6 from a hobby shop.
