Under 'And finally' on page 26 ot this months Guitarist (issue 305) the question is raised of what would be your ultimate 4-piece supergroup.
For me, and keeping things fairly recent, it could be: Vocals/Guitar: Matt Bellamy Guitar: John Frusciante Bass: Flea Drums: Dave Grohl Othe views? |

Are you allowed a guitarist / singer as well as a 2nd guitarist? If so I'd go the whole instrumentalist route...
Prince (err... everything) Freddie Mercury (vocal, guitar, piano) John Paul Jones (bass & keys) Dennis Chambers (drums)

Sylvian has been one of my all-time musical heroes since he was in Japan , and ' When the Poets Dreamed of Angels ' is one of my Top 10 songs of all time. Have you heard the version of ' Brilliant Trees ' that he did live in Yokohama ? Awesome !

If its living artists:
Vocals: Chris Cornell Guitars: Slash Bass: Flea Drums: Dave Grohl or all time: Vocals: Freddie Mercury Guitars: Jimi Hendrix Bass: Cliff Burton Drums: John Bonham ...might change my mind in a minute

But the point is to pick an ultimate four piece. Led Zeppelin have all ready existed so we actually know they are nowhere near the ultimate four piece.
