Default another...giggable amp question

This is all very hypothetical yet as 'the band' haven't even had a proper practice yet, but as the other guitarist keeps nagging me about amps, I thought I do some research (the easy kind that involves asking the forum!).

Firstly, I have a 1x12 cab that is rated up to 100W, I think (xlr8?). I have a Morgan Poison Dwarf head, but at only 4W, it obviously isn't giggable. I have no intention of getting rid of these, none at all!

So, I may need a giggable amp in the future, but I have a lot of limitations to what I could get:

1. I have no more space, so it needs to be small - I guess another head rather than a small combo would be best in this case

however...

2. I have a very small budget, and tbh I want to spend as little as possible on something that would be sufficient, rather than spend out loads. I will consider anything up to £300 if that's doable!

3. As for stuff we plan to play, at the moment it's mainly acoustic songs, making all this a bit silly really, but there are a couple of electric songs, one being Basket Case. However, I'm after something a bit rock sounding if I get one. I doubt I'll have to worry about anything bigger than a small pub venue, and as there are 2 guitarists I suppose it doesn't need to be as loud!

Is that all the info you need? I have noticed a couple of modelling combos that are quite high wattage - a Line 6 and Vox one, I think - would these be adequate or would they be next to useless?

If you could guide me in any way, I'd be very grateful. Cheers

Does your band use a PA ? if so what about somthing like a Roland Cube 30, it`s smallish, fairly loud, and you can line it out to the PA, plus, depending on the ohmage, you could probably use your 1x12 as an ext cab. come to that, does your Dwarf have line out ? it may be poss to stick that into the PA, but don`t hold me to that, it still may not be loud enough. Or--------- as an umpteenth option, you could get yourself a decent mike, and mike the Dwarf into the PA

OK,OK. i`ll stop now

Orange Tiny Terror through your existing cab. They are great amps and as, the name suggests, tiny.

There's always the Vox AD100VT head (usually somewhere around £250) - I tried one, and as with all that range....sounds awesome, but the 2 channel limitation is surprising in a modelling amp.

Valveking in general in fact.

Some of the best crystal-clear tones I've tried recently and it dirties up nicely too

I've been thinking a Valveking head + VHT, Orange, or Mesa, 4x12 cab.

I'd definitely check out the Cube 60 - small, light, loud and really nice sounds.

The Tiny Terror would be the smallest option and is loud enough to gig. It's a bit of a one-trick pony though IMO. It's good for that sort of brash brit rock thing.
