Default 50 watt crate gfx-30 with dsp help needed

hey i have a damn siruis question.

my 50 watt Crate gfx-30 with DSP has been making all thiese poping sounds whenever the input jack, the cable being more specific gets moved by just a little bit. and it even gets worse when it gets louder. any ideas on what i should do to get it repared?

it might be just a loose bolt so i might be able to take it sligtly apart and check for that or any wires near that need souldering. if it gets worse than i might have to resort to getting it professionaly repared. and the nearest music store is an hour away and with gas and everything i realy would like to avoid that if i can.

Check your leads before doing anything else, cheap ones, or leads with dodgy soldered connections can produce all sorts of weird noises. Worth a try before spending any money or possibly mutilating your amp, bearing in mind that buggering about inside amps can result in you being dead, so go carefull

Can you elaborate on "you being dead" if your meaning that i should unplug it from the power plug than yes, i'll do that. I just don't know if i should take it apart to see a bunch of cables adn wires that are just so sensitive i might mess something up.
