... because I've got a ton of guitar bits to unload!
I have no idea what this stuff is worth. Some of it is near worthless, and some of it would probably raise a few quid on eBay. But I won't throw it away, because every time I throw away something made of plastic or metal, I feel responsible for the imminent and gory destruction of planet Earth. So here's what I've got kicking around... Scratchplate for American Stratocaster (3 ply, white black white, 11 hole) White pickup covers for American Stratocaster 3 pickups from MIM Classic 50s Stratocaster (no covers... above covers would probably fit) Fender 57/62 single coil Strat pickup (vintage white cover) Gibson 496R and 500T humbuckers from Les Paul Classic (the ceramic ones) Ibanez bridge humbucker from SC420, never used (had the pickup replaced before I even paid for the guitar) Soon to be available... PRS Dragon II humbuckers (set of 2) Trem, whammy bar, and block from Classic 50s Strat Brushed aluminium 11-hole Strat scratchplate (used, fairly grubby) Photos available on request. Apart from the PRS and Gibson humbuckers which I reckon are worth a little bit, I'd be prepared to get rid of all this stuff for a pretty token amount of money, plus p&p. Anyone wanting to steal a march on the next £100 challenge, act now! Last edited by JonnyScaramanga : 06-06-2008 at 12:23 PM. |

Some ossom!! pickups there. I think it'd be great to have another £100 challenge.. although I'd personally go for the <£20 option at the moment - if I can get the fretwire.

Holy crap! Don't know where my brain was when I typed "steal a thread". I'm now going to edit my original post to make you look insane.

![]() Have a bump. ![]() That's a righteous amount of strat p/ups your shifting ... given that you must have replaced them with something else... do you have any opinion to add to this thread? If that's too tricky to answer: Given that God is infinite, and given that the Universe is infinite... would you like a toasted tea cake?

I need a scratchplate and electronics for my black Strat as I ripped 'em out for my Clarkson - I'm thinking of waiting and doing it right on the pickups (some kind of noiseless single-coils, mmmm) but if the aluminium 'plate's not a total wreck what you want for it Johnny?

Are you selling bits individually?

Yes, I'm selling them individually.
And Beagle, nope, the plate's not in bad nick. In fact, I was in two minds about getting rid of it since it still looks cool, but if you want it, you got it. They're £24.99 new, so, since you're a mate, I guess a tenner plus p&p? Only thing is, you'll have to wait for it a little bit, because it's currently still on a guitar, and I don't have anything to replace it with. If you want it and are ok with waiting, I'll order my new one, and get it off to you soon as. |

mmmm ... I seem to keep buying pickups, and have a few sets here waiting for me to make guitars to fit them into ... but I can never resist a good deal, so how much do you want for the Gibbos and Dragons and poss the aluminum Strat scratchplate too?
[edit] and poss not the scratchplate as I hadn't read smokingbeagle's post ! Last edited by TTony : 06-06-2008 at 05:17 PM. |
