Help Please!
When click on the icon to open it, only the bar that has play and record will show up after it asked which project to open. i can't finish my song. the version of samplitude is the "full version" that was on Computer Music's magazine DVD-ROM. nothing that i do/have done so far (with the exception of re-installing) has worked. i'm also hesitant on re-installing because i already gave the website the serial # to activate it and it wont work on any other computers, and i'm not sure if it will think that this is a non valid computer. |

Oh! Been here, done this got.....
No, you cannnot install the mag version on another pc IF you have registered it already on a first. However, if you are re-installing (and I had a problem with Sam8 and a re-inst fixed it) email MAGIX (join the club) and tell them what you want to do. I have always found them more than helpful. You normally get 5 "free" re activations without too much hassle. In fact I was a bit cheeky, a modest laptop came my way and I wanted to put Sam8 on it. I have a spare copy of Sam9 but saving that for a rainy and I thought it a waste 'cos the lappy was only 850M. MAGIX were a bit terse, pointing out how many re activations I had had ( me pc Tas S and I really made a SNAFU of the original installation!) but they came across with an activation code anyway bless 'em. You can in fact buy S9 as a download I think, about fifty quid. Dave. |

Joining the "CLUB" is just like registering with most such sites. You just give name address, blood type, you know the drill! They then email a confirmation which you reply to di da di....
I doubt if Magix will do much in the way of diagnostics, have you done the basic tweaks to get your pc optimized for recording? www.musicxp.net if you have not. I would not worry too much about re- activation Magix are pretty understanding I have found. It IS a bit of a runaround to get things sorted but you will get there, and a call to CM might help! Dave. |
