I've had my old amps/cabs laying around for years. I wont sell any of my vintage stuff ( Plexi head, AC30's etc ), so I keep them in my bike workshop as supports for the workbench. I was having a rummage through some old boxes and found eight original ( taken from two 1970's 4x12 cabs ) G12m Greenbacks.
A lot of us used to swap these G12M's out for JBL's ( if only we had a time machine back then ). So I have eight new, untouched , never been used mint ( NOS ) G12M original greenbacks. But it don't stop there ! I rang my drummer to let him know of my find and he replied with " That reminds me, I have five of those taking up space in the studio that I need to throw out ". Needless to say I shouted " Stoppppppppppppppppp" down the phone and guided him to eBay. So what is the value of both New ( as in NOS ) and old used ones ( in great cond ) ? |

There is a guy on 'The Gear Page' who is an expoert on all things old Celestion - he'll know what they are worth over there.
Note the chassis and cone codes and pay him a visit !

Around 4 years back a bass player in a local band found 3 in his shed. He spoke Celestion to ( or whoever owns them now ) and talked to some guy who had a book ( not a computer record ) with all the numbers in , showing every single detail .
I'm in talks about a sale of all eight It's like ebay without the fees.Fuck me, ( excuse my German ) they have gone up a few quid since I bought em ? |

There is no market price for new old ones ? It's what someone is prepared to pay. At the moment I am trying to get that figure .The other five used ones have an offer of £250 for the lot, but I have a feeling that can be improved upon. ![]() |

when you're done care to pass on your contact ? I could do with selling the one spare one I have (and maybe the other 2 - was thinking of replacing with Centuries anyway . . . )
