Default Levinson Blade information please!

Morning all, just wondering if anyone can give me any info on a Levinson Blade that's come into my posession.

Essentially it is a strat with 3 single coils, 1 vol and 1 tone pot. There's a standard 5 way pickup selector and a 3 way mini switch. On the back of the guitar are 3 small screws which I believe are some sort of equaliser.

It's got sperzel locking tuners and a standard trem.

The serial number is stamped on the neckplate (93847) and it also says "Levinson Switzerland".

I've googled for info and found very little so ANY info you can give me would be gratefully received.

I'll try and post some pics later but it looks like a honey colour with a purplish mirrored scratchplate.

Very nice guitars and sounds like either a Swiss or English made one (He made the guitars in the Eggle factory for a couple of years). Worth between £500-1000 dependant on model and age. The three screws are the adjustment for the VSC circuit that is engaged by the mini-toggle. The settings can be found HERE

Gaz is in there ahead of me; I'm a Levinson fanboy despite having never actually owned one, most of the ones I've played have given US Fenders a run for their money.

Digital camera/PC is playing up but managed to find this photo. My guitar is virtually the same except it has 3 sc's and not a hb/sc/sc config.

Malam is the man then?

Lovely guitar, I had a purple one years ago, another guitar I should have held on to.

Looks like it could be a Blade R4 or R2. Although the one in the pics looks like an RH4

If it has three single coils and a sepia scratchplate then it sounds like an R4...If it's got sperzels then it will more than likely have the falcon tremolo system. Does it have an ebony fretboard? If so, it's an R4 for sure.

Also, does it have the smaller or larger Blade logo on the headstock?

Thanks!
Dave
