Amount of time required for a 500ml can of lager to reach optimum drinking temperature from room temperature in a domestic freezer: 55 minutes.

Far too bloody long basically.

Thats what I spent "far too bloody long basically" doing. The lager is American. It must be near frozen to kill the taste.

Yup, but still removable.. Also seems to chill it faster.

Shit - forgot them for 80 minutes. Cans are bulging - probably all ice inside will defrost in fridge.

Tip: just pouring cold water from the tap onto the freezer shelf will melt most of the ice.

Further tip: does not work for frosty missus.

I bought one of the Heiniken mini kegs the other night. It said 'chill for 10 hours'!

I'm drinking it tonight though, it's really good. A pub in the fridge! I'm drunk. There isn't much left from the 5 ltrs there was earlier.
