i've noticed that... the terseness... maybe he's sick of people asking... but people do ask and the products are still being distributed by CM, so someone should take ownership and update them or transfer them to a new developer.

I certainly don't mean to be terse, merely economical with my words because time is quite often tight.

CM have never enquired about updating these products since their support contracts expired. I still have the source code and it wouldn't be a massive project to update them to UB if we were asked to do so.

I can only suggest, as I always do, that you get in touch with CM and let your views be known.

In the meantime, if you want to try a new free sampler that can trace its lineage right back to DS404 and SR202 why not visit www.samplebase.com and take a look at Satellite.

Kind regards
Dave

Can anyone help. Does anyone know a way out of this darkness.... :?
Yeah, move back to PC & use something other than Logic. Problem solved

(Sorry but I couldn't resist having a pop at Intel Macs ....... with all their icompatability issues He, He)

Indeed! Dave, thanks for your continued interest in your plugs.

I think it is about time that CM embraced Intel Macs and the 10/10 Logic a little bit more. Obviously, it'll never be possible to exactly replicate the CM VST output, but a little more coverage would be call. And I'm all for them chucking Dave a load of cash to update a few of his plugs! How about the CM/Muon Filterbank?

Dave, thanks for taking the time to reply.
(thanks also for the link to samplebase, checking it out right now!)

I really miss the cm studio plugs. I know there are alternatives but there is something very special about them. Most mac users are now intel, and mac users make up a pretty significant amount of the CM readership/userbase.

Personally, I dont think its a case of putting them under pressure but rather just letting them know that a lot of us are "hurting" without the plugs.

I dont think they pay much attention to the forum here, and I would urge everyone to write or email them on the subject.

Unhappy Contact and Vote

i updated my "vote for renewed Muon contract" thread, so if you want Intel Mac support, go vote on that thread:
http://www.musicradar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7244

Basically, the question comes down to finances at CM...
