I can imagine someone new to the music retail sector has bought shed loads of these from China for a new eBay shop.

How pissed would you be if after opening box number 345 all the Teles look like they had melted.

LOL !

That shop is just down the road from me, it's a really strange shop. It's a small 1 room, on the corner of the 2 main streets.. In the window they have all these cheapy makes (Extreme, Spear?, epiphones sometimes and cheapy acoustics)

But then inside up on the wall they have really expensive, hard to find, or boutique stuff like Rainsong carbon fibre acoustics and Trussart Steelcasters and handbuilt mandolins and stuff..

Its weird but I think they have the right idea, with all the Soundcontrols and also huge online shops that you can buy pretty much any standard make guitar for ubercheap because of the low overheads they have, to keep your smalltown music shop open you need to have things that you can't get at these places. So they have weird-make beginner guitars and then really high-end pro stuff that's nearly impossibly to find as floor stock so you can test it out anywhere but maybe Denmark street where it'd be overpriced anyway.

As for the Telecaster.. It's ugly but it has an almost Firebird-esque kind of charm to me. I might go check them out next time I have time to kill before/after work and see how they play/sound.

Spear and James Trussart share teh same distributor, so this extreme silliness is probably part of the deal to stock them. I'd like to find a spear to try out but none seen in the midlands so far. shame as they are quite pretty
