Default My Yamaha is in need of help

Ok so Ive got a yamaha rgx 121s...and it has real sentimental value..however for several years now it has been cutting out....but never in a straight, no sound kinda way.....its like more of a crackle.
Ive had the wireing replaced, and pots and toggle switched changed, at last diagnosis it looked like a minuate break in the wire casing could be the problem.
It worked fine for a while but then......so any suggestions.

My last option, as I understand it, is to replace the pickups which might mean....replacing them all....on one hand Ive been thinking of putting EMG's into it, but then again....I might as well buy the ESP that I want.

It comes down to time, money, and the sentimental value of the guitar....there isnt much to the inside of a guitar so im running out of options..thus the only logical step being the pickups...but they were given a quick look over already....and seemed to have no apparent physical faults.

Help my guitar live again

A dirty input socket often produces nasty crackles and intermittent contact; spray some switch cleaner in it and put a jack in and out a few times-might help.
