I bought this Checkoslovakian Gibson SG clone for the equivalent of 130 pounds uk a few days ago.
Its a second hand Fokus SG made for the H Guitar Shop in Checkoslovakia, the inlays on the fingerboard look rather cheap and crappy but this is a truly great playing and sounding guitar and the workmanship on this thing is pretty damm good.
I a/b tested it next to my Gibson Les Paul standard faded into a Peavey Classic 50 2/12 using the same settings on the amp for both guitars and the pickups on the Fokus had a little less output than the Burstbuckers on the Les Paul but still sounded really good, actually the Fokus sounded a lot more like a vintage Gibson than my Gibson does, tonally it sounded more like, um Led Zeppelin than AcDc if that makes sense to you, less saturation than the Burstbuckers deliver but a really well rounded tone.
This has to be without a doubt the best value for money guitar i ever bought, i could have bought at least 15 of these suckers for what i payed for my Les Paul (Not to say that i will ever regret having bought my Les Paul)
