The last couple of 'big' gigs bands I've been to were Foo Fighters at the O2 in 2007 and Velvet Revolver at the Brixton Academy on 25/03/08.
My view you can't beat the smaller venues for atmosphere and a great gig. Does anyone really like stadium/arena events like the O2 or are they all about the money? |

It depends on the band/occasion.
Bands like Iron Maiden are great in a Stadium/Arena because you get thousands singing along to every song and it's really intense...But for the most part I'm all about the smaller venues.

Totally depends on the particular venue too, square, hard walled rooms sound gash regardless of size ie/ Southampton Guildhall (small) and Docklands Arena (big) |
