Hi guys,
As you probably know I'm quite a big noob when it comes to all this recording stuff. I have recently started to record in audacity and its quite kool but im looking for something a bit more advance. I want to be able to record in it and add effects (like echoes). I also hope to delete bits and reverb ect. I basically want the ultimate DAW. The only problem is I have got no money left! So the question is "is theree such a thing as the ultimate DAW for free?" Please don think im being cheap because im really not, Ive just wasted all my money on other stuff ... lol... Like microphones and audio interfaces!! THEUOF!

I'd have a look at reaper - you can download it and then pay the $50 dollars or so if your still using in a month. Since its all based on trust i'm sure they won't actually check, and i'm sure you wouldn't be abusing their trust if you waited a month or two until you could afford it.
Computer musc also do a free DAW i believe - should all come on the DVD with the monthly mag.
