Smile guitar on a budget!

hi guys, my mate is in the market for a new guitar and has about 400 pound to spend. he likes the play of an ibanez and the look of a strat. just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what guitar he could buy, im aware of many different strat models such as the power house and so on however im not familiar with the sounds you get out of them. he likes his pop punk so something that gives a bit of a kick would be good. cheers

Here's an idea. Tell your mate to go to a guitar shop and a) see what they have that he likes and b) try it out.

Actually I was trying to be helpful, asshole. How can you pick a guitar without trying it out first ?
