Thumbs up Logic Pro

Hi guys,

I've just bought Logic Pro and whoa is the manual an intense read!
Basically i'm slowly beginning to get my head around it and respect the software etc but I've found that I only have access to the Garageband instrument sounds and effects on Logic. Do I need to buy or download new sounds/synths/effects? Is it possible to create my own instrument even if I have an .aiff for each different note? This would really give this program the edge and i'm sure it can be done. Some help would be greatly appreciated as I personally can spot a Garageband sound from a mile away and I really want variety and the ability to add some personal touches.

Peace....Knottybeats
