Cool Joe Bonamassa's gear

So... I presume everyone here likes gear? Thought so.

We caught up with Joe in Frome, UK before a gig and he was kind enough to show us his live rig, which comprises a measly four amp heads. There'll be more of this video coming soon.

Joe was also kind enough to do some video lessons for us which are also coming soon. We think he's pretty amazing, but let us know what you think in the comments section of the article. Guitar One recently said he's the best guitarist of his generation. Any thoughts?

He sounds like Kermit in the clip

He is a very clever technical guitarist, in that he can play different styles with ease, but I find he's a bit of a musical sponge and you can spot his influences a mile off. He should be an amazing player with that level of skill, but he's not imo, because he's so derivative. His last album was a prime example...there's a track on there that's a dead ringer for Since I've Been Loving You, complete with a Jimmy Page cloned solo.

Mind you, he does have a brilliant live tone....one of the meatiest I've heard, next to Billy Gibbons.

Joe is way up on my all time fave list. I like the way he is a gear freak, like all us mere mortals.
Had a look at the Catagory5 amp site, my oh my, what superb workmanship! They also have a Gary Moore signiture model!! No prices mind, and I think they are made to order.
