What do you think of this list?

http://www.musicradar.com/news/drums...um-poll-137310

We're interested to see what drummers think. Leave a comment on the article if you agree or disagree...

Have a good weekend all...

Oh come on! Nothing for Jaki Liebezeit? He is the greatest drummer ever! Also no Chic? Have you never heard how good Tony Thompson was?

The mind boggles.

The thing is that it must be an almost impossible list to write because whoever they put on there are gonna be 50 people saying 'what about tis guy'. And youve got to remember that it isnt the best drummers its the best drum albums. And also you might think that some of the choices are wrong but the lists been put together by a drum panel with huge amounts of experience and tbh they probably know more about it then us (or atleast me).

Suprised Neil Peart was only in there once but as for John Bonham, he's personally my favourite drummer so good result.

Before the drummers start to get too upset with the poll, take it with a massive pinch of salt as how the hell did Ringo Star make it into the top 500 let alone the top 50 ! Nuff said really

Vinnie Paul - check.
Phil Rudd - check.
Stewart Copeland - check.
Mick Fleetwood - check.
Matt Johnson - check.
Stevie Wonder - check.
Buddie Rich - check.

That's covered most of the guys whose playing I love listening to (Moon and Bonham, while great drummers, never really moved me and IMHO overplayed way too much); the only two of my favourites who don't make the cut are Paul Douchette (wouldn't expect him to anyway in fairness, even less so now he's switched to guitar) and Nick Menza (played on the two best Megadeth albums drum-wise for me, and kicks the hell out of Ulrich technically and for feel). Just my 2p.

Actually, an edit - how could I forget Sean Kinney from Alice In Chains? Deserves to be in every 'best drummer' list purely for the groove at the start of 'No Excuses', for me.

Sean Kinney is an excellent drummer , also Mick Brown ( The Mission ) and Rick McMurray ( Ash ) are great drummers.

Where is Phil Collins though ? You may not like his AOR solo stuff , but he is one of the best damn drummers of all time !

Oh, actually - no Travis Barker either? Arguably one of the best drummers of the past twenty years IMHO, although he never really stretched himself much with Blink 182; what he did in The Transplants with a massively stripped-down kit and electronic augmentation was stunning.
