I'm running a mac and I am looking for a good sequencer to do some recording with. I have no budget but can push to maybe a couple of pounds. So I want a application which will run on a mac and is free? any help? cheers |

Garageband is part of iLife, which has been given away with all new Macs for sometime (but is a pay option for those without newer Macs). It is certainly a good "sketchpad" for musical ideas (I use it when I'm away from the soundcard, keyboard, harddrives etc)
Tracktion 2 is currently going for about £30. However, if you have a new Mac, I'm not sure if T2 is a UB. There is also Ardour, which is free (http://www.kvraudio.com/get/2681.html) And pre-1.0 build of Reaper, which is free too And then you get into the Logic Express kind of price ...
