Does anyone know where u can find good tutorials for Logic Studio 8? I just bought the new Logic Studio 8 a few days back and pretty much have the hang of it. But i certainly want to get in depth and therefore require good tutorial videos that will show u the in depth features of Logic 8.. this being my first time using logic i will need to learn everything from scratch.. any sort of help will be great

Yes, they cost, but I have seen a couple of them in the past (the Logic Pro 7 ones) and they are great. Alternatively, subscribe to Future Music. Jono Buchanan does a series of 10 video tutorials every couple of months and REALLY SHOULD DO MORE, because they are very good for finding new ways around and stimulating the creative juices. And a request to the musicradar boffins: please put old FM/CM video tutorials online!

Quite expensive but very good: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logic-Pro-Ex...pd_sbs_b_img_1
This is the book that the Logic 101 course is done from, I'm working towards being able to deliver these, and hand out the stiff tickets. |

I'm using Logic Express 8 at the mo. I was a little disappointed at the lack of a paper manual (although Studio does have a big thick manual AFAIK). It's a pain in the arse trying to learn a piece of software from Pdfs and don't have the time (or funds) to print out 1000-odd pages so this book has been great for finding my feet. The exercises included on the DVD are interesting and fun and you are encouraged to learn the keyboard shortcuts for all the common functions. My personal favourites are Command-S and Command-Z ![]() As a result I'm going to upgrade to Studio when funds allow and I'll most likely buy the more advanced book when I do. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Logic-Beyond..._bxgy_b_text_b |

There's some tutorials in this month's MusicTech magazine, plus a free Logic Studio pull out that gives some tips.
There's also a dedicated 'special' on Logic Studio. I'm sure Computer Music have had a similar special on Logic as well.
