Default Whats my Gibson SG Special Faded in Worn Brown worth ?

Looking for a guide price to de-gas

I bought it new around 5 months back although it is a 2005 serial number. Used it once and cannot get on with the rounded neck. It is slightly unusual then the current crop of SG Specials because it does not have the silver top hat knobs ( there all black ) and the truss rod cover has the white binding around it .

I checked with Gibson and they confirmed they built a batch like this in 2005.

It comes with all the hang tags, Gibson Blue Warranty card ( checklist thing ), truss tool and unused Gibson gig bag.

If I am not going to get a lot for it then I will hang it up in the living room as a center piece or something until inflation takes a grip of the UK ( well that wont be long says Mr Cynical ).

I'd say around the £400 mark.

My SG special in faded cherry red has black knobs (not the silver hat ones). Though it only has a plain black trussrod cover.

That cost me £400 and it was brand new. I wouldn't expect them to cost much second hand.

That's what I was thinking. I will have to put together some pics and stuff. Or pay to get the neck shaved by a few mm. Not sure if it would be cost effective for the use I would give it though.

Bloody shame, because thats the only thing that prevents me playing it.

Its not the style of neck, but I had a major hand injury that prevents me playing any 50's style neck. When I bought it I didnt do enough checking to see which neck was fitted.
