Default quoting quotes in IE

I'm having difficulty quoting posts properly in Internet Explorer (I might try in Firefox later).

If the post I'm quoting already has a quote in it, my quoted post only shows one quote, not the previous one as well (got that )

eg. if I was to quote the following made-up post:

Quote:

Does that make sense? The first quote disappears.

Can't be done in Firefox either ... it's the vBulletin forum structure that is at fault.

Ahhh, not really a bug then, rather a bloody nuisance that we'll have to get used too!

You have to use the 'Select to quote' function on each of the posts you want to quote. It's a pain if they're pages apart though.

Ah ! - just the thread... How the hell do you get that 'Select to Quote' to work ? What are you supposed to do ? I click the 'Select to quote' button, then select a block of text, the button changes to 'Quote selected', I click on it and ..... bugger all happens. (This is in Opera. If I use IE6, the quote buttons aren't even there.... but I do get the 'this page has errors' warning in the bottom left, with the same error I reported here:- http://www.musicradar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10673 )

It seems to be a cumbersome system, but I have ascertained that by clicking on 'select to quote' selects the whole post, then when you click 'post reply' it comes up with the quote. Does that make any sense at all?

Also, if you want to quote a few different posts, you have to click the 'select to quote's in the order you want to see them, otherwise they're all quoted out of order, and you end up with a rambling mess
