Does anyone know what the hell the opening chord is to the Killers, 'When we were young' ?I've learnt this song in standard tuning, but I suspect it may be actually half a step down, can anyone help? ![]() |

They tune down a semitone like a of bands, it's played in C but will sound in B if your guitars in concert pitch. First chord thats faded in sounds a bit like G5C9 ... AKA Hard days night type chord

The song is in standard tuning. The opening chord is like a C# 7sus
It could be played here E.......x................. B.......7..................... G.......4......................... D.......6.............................. A.......4............................. E.......x................. Or an octave up using the same inversion but on the first four strings. Paulo |

Octave with an inversion is the correct answer. Well done Paul.
