Default Coda Music selling Washburn EA20 for £229

http://www.coda-music.com/catalog/pr...roducts_id=320

Cheapest I have seen these are £329 , even GAK want £489 and Machinehead want £269 for the low end EA18

I know these SHOULD come with the GC75 hardcase , but even if the dealers were splitting them from the case, £229 is cheap. Coda do a lot of these one offs. I have often wondered if they are returned or B-Stock ?

Has anyone ever bought from Coda on one of these deals before ?

I bought the EA16 a couple of years back at the sale price of £99 (I see it's on offer again too actually) and haven't had any problems. In fact I've bought 3 guitars from them (sale stock) and have only had top quality service. The guitars are set up nicely too when they arrive.

Coda always seem very slow to respond to questions. I asked a couple a few weeks back and still have not had a reply.

But that's usual for Coda, unless the item is listed on ebay, then they answer pretty quickly ??????.

But then you dont get cheap price's and good customer service in the same breath these days .

Hi There

Just a bit of info for you.

Washburn Guitars in the UK do NOT come with a hard case unless specifically stated in a dealer ad. We buy an awful lot of Washburn and it is something we get asked a lot. The guitars are all priced without cases by the distributor.

In the states the Washburn hard cases are readily available but the UK distributor just doesn't bring them in for most things. To get an official Washburn case with anything other than a USA model is like striking gold. Although they are starting to add good gig bags with more and more of their electric and bass range which is nice.

Cheers for the info.

Can you tell me if the B-Band fitted on these is the newer 3.2 UST with the square pre-amp panel or the older unit with the pyramid-triangle shaped control pre-amp panel. Is the Buzz Feiten Tuning System on this model ? some say ( not the stig ) that the logo is not on the back of the headstock anymore ?

Hiya

The last time we had these in stock they had the 3.2 version fitted. Washburn seem to take forever to update stock photography/spec sheets. Keeps us on our toes.

This goes for the Buzz Feiten Spec as well. It's actually not present on many of their acoustics at all! Buzz Feiten has not been part of the design for some time. Think the spec changed some time ago (years) but of course everyone has the information from the UK Distributor plastered all over their site.

If you see Buzz Feiten quoted on a Washburn Acoustic - best get a dealer to triple check on a specific guitar as we have all been caught out by this at some point or another.

Many thanks Richard.

The distributors really should back up there retailers on stuff like this. I am as guilty as many, when I point the finger at a retailer for incorrect information that was supplied to them by the distributor in the first place !
