The MIA Music Awards 2011 take place in London on 30 November, and celebrate the musical instrument industry's top achievers from the past year.
One of the awards that's going to be handed out is for Music Software of the Year, and this is being sponsored by Computer Music.
We've seen some fantastic new DAWs and plug-ins over the past 12 months, but which product deserves to be crowned as the very best? We've compiled the longlist below; vote now for your favourite.
Vote now for Music Hardware of the Year!
Vote now for the Music Making App of the Year
Vote now for Amplifier of the Year!
@Augusto @SarahBellum What total nonsense! So DeadMau5, Porter Robinson, Avicii and techno geek legend BT are not professional? Are they all bedroom musos and wannabe producers? Well they all seem to be enjoying the 'fruits' of FL Studio! Typecasting is very childish and if there's anything to laugh at here it's you, as you condem this site for being misleading and amateur when you are guilty of it yourselves!
I still laugh when people call themselves "musicians" and don't even know how to play an instrument - Any idiot can string a bunch of loops together - that does NOT make them a musician.
As far as FL making the top 15, well, it is a joke - as a DAW for bedroom musos and wannabe producers, it might be ideal, but not for the people in the professional music industry.
However. to each their own.
Well, I was going to vote for either FL Studio 10 or Cockos Reaper 4, but, it looks like they don't deserve a place into the big names in the music industry, even though, FL Studio made it to the top in best DAW software list in this website :S What a joke. I ain't voting for any of them.
these polls of yours seem completely unbelievable, inaccurate, and consequently pointless and misleading.
While I'm sure there are many who use FL, I don't know anyone professional who uses it, in fact, with the exception of 2 Mac users who use Logic, everyone in the business I know uses Cubase, and I've been in the biz for over 20 years so that's a lot of folk.
These sort of polls, along with some of the more glaring inaccuracies in some of your reviews, just loose you credibility and really make you look like some bunch of cowboys pretending to have an interest in music.
BTW - I bought LFOtool - it's one step up from the free TAL-Filter2, and it's great value for money - but not worthy of being an entry in this poll! Also, Reason 5 came out last year so doesn't qualify to be in this poll, but where's Reason 6?
This site appears to be run by a sanctimonious bunch of amateurs !
FL Studio AGREE IN THE LIST There are not enough.....ХУЛИГАНЫ
How does FL Studio top your 15 Best DAW list, beating out Reason, Pro Tools, Cubase but not show up on this list?
