Sylenth1 makes it to Mac!

Now both PC and Mac users can “enjoy the Sylenth” as Lennar Digital´s
10/10 CM-rated virtual analogue has been ported over to Mac. Sylenth1 v2.0 doesn´t feature masses in the way of new features, and aside from a bunch more presets minor fixes and improvements appear to be the order of the day.

Despite the lack of fresh bells and whistles we are sure Mac owners will be extremely excited to check out the Mac VST version of the synth, which until now has been the preserve of PC-based computer musicians.

Unfortunately, those with PowerPC-based Macs are out of luck as Sylenth1 v2.0 is Intel compatible only. As far as we know this is the only plug-in to specify an Intel processor, and could signal the start of a worrying trend for owners of old Macs.

On the up side an AU version is in the works, so eventually Logic and GarageBand users will be able to sample the synth´s delights without the need to resort to a VST wrapper.
