CM illustrator JAKe interviewed at StarWars.com

Ronan Macdonald, Fri 16 Oct 2009, 3:08 pm BST

Regular readers of Computer Music will be familiar with the brilliant graphical stylings of JAKe, the pensman behind our Burning Question illustrations. As well as CM, Jake has also had work published in NME, Time Out, Esquire and Vox, not to mention creating the visuals for the inside of Prodigy's Fat Of The Land album sleeve and turning the mentalist creations of Noel Fielding and Julian Barratt into a comic strip for The Mighty Book of Boosh.

However, by far JAKe's biggest gig is his work as an official Star Wars artist for Lucas Licensing, and his stylised takes on George Lucas' characters have adorned everything from T-shirts to fridge magnets, pyjamas and even postage stamps.

As part of their Star Wars Artist series, StarWars.com have posted an interview with the man himself. It's a great read, and it makes us feel hugely privileged to have JAKe as part of the, er, CM universe.
