Free Vienna Instruments Masterclasses
If orchestral virtual instruments are your bag then you may be interested to learn that VSL’s Paul Steinbauer will be holding UK and Ireland masterclasses at the start of December. You’ll be able to check out the Vienna Instruments range and get information on the software straight from Paul himself, who will also be unveiling the latest innovations from Vienna and discussing the most efficient set-ups for Vienna Ensemble. Each session will run from 6-8pm after which there will be an hour long Q&A session, plus there will be free – that’s right, free – beverages.

Splitsville for AMD
Processor manufacturer and Intel nemesis AMD has announced that it’s going split into two companies. The schizophrenic statement means that part of the company will continue to be known as AMD and will carry on with design work, while the actual manufacturing will be handled by the split-off company, which has been temporarily named the Foundry Company.
